In my reflection of these pearls, my mind wandered to the story of how a pearl is made. A tiny sandstone finds its way under an oyster shell, and it is so irritating to the oyster that it works on the stone, and eventually one day this sandstone becomes a beautiful, smooth, shiny pearl.   I think that the book The Pearls of Lutra was totally cool! It was about a different sort of crisis in Redwall. When the an evil pine marten, Emperor Ublaz "Mad Eyes" of Sampetra, sets out to claim the "Tears of All Oceans",six beautiful pink pearls, for his own,the trouble on Sampetra naturally turns North towards Redwall Abbey.5/5(5).

A cave pearl is a small, usually spherical, speleothem (cave formation) found in limestone pearls are formed by a concretion of calcium salts that form concentric layers around a nucleus. Exposure to moving water polishes the surface of cave pearls, making them glossy; if exposed to the air, cave pearls can degrade and appear rough.   The Gemological Institute of America adds that these early “blister pearls” were flat and hollow, not round like the pearls we think of today. A.D. First modern-day imitation pearl made.

Words cannot express how wonderful this book is! Once I started The Pursuit of Pearls, I could not put it down. This is the first Clara Vine book that I have read and didnt realize it was a series until I finished it. Next, I plan to track down her earlier books and read them too. The book opens in Berlin in on the eve of World War II.4/5. Verse - And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl was known to the ancients from the earliest times, and was always held in high honour by them (cf. Revelation ). And the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass (cf. ver. 18). The brilliancy was so far beyond ordinary gold as to make it apparently transparent like glass.
